MILWAUKEE -- There was a standoff on Milwaukee's south side Sunday afternoon.

Milwaukee police responded to a "shots fired" call at 10 a.m. near 13th and Orchard streets.

Officials said there was an argument between two people in a nearby alley. They said the suspect, a 38-year-old man, fired two rounds at the victim. The victim was not hit.

When officers arrived, the suspect ran inside a nearby house and refused to come out. His six-year-old son was also inside.

After unsuccessful negotiations, police said they entered the home at 2:57 p.m.

Contact was made, and the suspect was taken into custody.

The six-year-old was not hurt and is with family.
