Before you stuff the turkey this Thanksgiving, help Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin & 99.1 The Mix Stuff the Bus.
You will find them Nov. 25 at the Brookfield South Pick 'n Save location at 15170 W. Greenfield Ave, near the intersection of Moorland Road and Greenfield Avenue.
The 18th annual one-day food drive kicks off at 6 a.m. and concludes at 6 p.m.
Wes and Elizabeth from 99.1 The Mix will broadcast live and encourage listeners to donate nonperishable food items including canned meat, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soup and chili, peanut butter, pasta, rice, macaroni and cheese and frozen turkeys to help fill Milwaukee County Transit System buses with food for hungry families this holiday season.
The goal this year is 200,000 meals. Monetary donations and frozen turkeys will also be accepted.
For a $1 donation, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin can provide three meals to someone in need.
Those who can't make it out to the store can also make a donation online.
Together, we can provide hope to families, children, seniors and individuals facing hunger this Thanksgiving.
