Snow emergencies declared through southeastern Wisconsin

  • MILWAUKEE — Southeastern Wisconsin cities will be blanketed with snow for the second time in five days Tuesday, starting around mid-afternoon.

UPDATE:

  • West Milwaukee

The Village of West Milwaukee has issued a snow emergency beginning Wednesday January 23 at 9 a.m. and will conclude Wednesday January 23 at 6 p.m. Parking is prohibited on all major emergency thoroughfares for the duration of the emergency.

  • Greendale

The Village of Greendale Police Department warns residents to remove all vehicles from Village streets to allow DPW to clear the streets during this severe weather.Make alternate plans for parking. If needed, the Municipal parking lot is available.

  • Wauwatosa

The City of Wauwatosa has issued a snow emergency from 8 a.m. Wednesday morning to 7 a.m. Thursday.

  • Mayville

Parking will not be allowed on city streets Tuesday night, the Mayville Police Department said. Vehicles left on the street will be subject to ticketing.

  • Franklin

Freezing rain may cause hazardous driving conditions, so all Franklin District athletics and activities have ended Tuesday.

In addition, the following travel events are canceled:
Girls basketball at Case High School
Boys Basketball at Muskego High School
Boys Swimming and Diving at Tremper High School

Franklin Community Ed & Rec programming is also canceled Tuesday night.

  • Pleasant Prairie

A snow emergency has been declared in Pleasant Prairie, beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday and remaining in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday. During a snow emergency, no parking is allowed on village streets. All snow emergency parking restrictions will be enforced throughout this period.

  • Beloit

Beloit's snow emergency will be in effect from 3 p.m. Tuesday until 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Vehicles are prohibited from parking on the street during this snow emergency, according to Beloit city ordinance.

  • Fort Atkinson

Fort Atkinson's snow emergency will begin at 1 a.m. on Wednesday and remain in effect for twelve hours, until 1 p.m.

  • Watertown

The Watertown Police Department has declared a city-wide snow emergency that will go into effect at 11 p.m. Tuesday night and run for 48-hours.

Parking on all city streets and alleys will be banned between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. the following morning, during this time. Those who park on the city will recieve a $50 fine.

  • West Allis

The City of West Allis has issued a snow emergency beginning Tuesday, January 22 at 6 p.m. and concluding on Wednesday, January 23 at 6 p.m.

During a snow emergency parking is prohibited on all major emergency thoroughfares for the duration of the emergency. In addition, parking is limited to one side of all other streets.

  • Grafton

The Village President has declared a snow emergency for the Village of Grafton beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday and in effect through 7 a.m. Wednesday.
