Six children have died in five days in Milwaukee County, including two on Tuesday.

The scene of the police department and medical examiner in a home for a dead child has become all too familiar in Milwaukee.

"I think it's really terrible, it really is," said neighbor Telisa Griffin.

Griffin lives near where a 2-month-old baby boy was found not breathing Tuesday afternoon at 16th Street and Meinecke Avenue. Authorities tried to revive the child, but the baby didn’t make it.

"I can't even imagine. To lose one of mine I can't even imagine," Griffin said.

Police say his death does not appear to be suspicious, but it's one of six child deaths in less than a week in the city. Police have only released four of the locations.

Along with the two-month-old, there was a one-year-old girl was found dead near 38th Street and Villard Avenue, a 3-year-old boy on 39th Street and Thurston Avenue, and a 3-week-old baby boy died at 46th Street and Meinecke Avenue Tuesday morning.

There was also a one-month-old who died on June 2 and a 2-month-old found dead on June 5. Neighbors can't believe five other families are feeling that same pain.

"Just scary you. It really is," Griffin said.

Police have arrested a man for the death of the one-year-old.
