Six people were transported to various hospitals after a four-car crash in the Town of Rhine Friday afternoon.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff said in a news release that four vehicles including a pickup with a trailer crashed on State Highway 57 at County Road A.
The department’s investigation determined that two cars and the pickup were traveling southbound and one car slowed to turn onto County Road A. The second vehicle also slowed to turn and the pickup hit the second car from behind, causing it to spin. The second car then hit a car headed north.
There were no life-threatening injuries, but six people were taken to area hospitals via ambulance.
State Highway 57 was closed for about four hours after the crash.
