Sip & Purr Cat Cafe has done something no other cat cafe has ever done: successfully rescue and transport a kitten from Cairo to the U.S.

The kitten, Nala, was found abandoned by Sip & Purr's founder Katy McHugh and her 13-year-old son Cole when they visited Cairo in February.

Now, after being transported to Milwaukee, the cat cafe is hosting a meet and greet for Nala on April 20 in order for her to find a new home.

The event is sold out, but Sip & Purr says it has plenty of other cats at the cafe. Sip & Purr has also adopted 14 other homeless cats from Doha, Qatar.
