MILWAUKEE -- Singer-songwriter Beck will return to Milwaukee for the first time in decades with a performance at the Riverside Theater this fall.

Beck, who spans musical styles as unique as folk, funk, soul, hip hop, and psychedelic, will perform Wednesday, August 16 at 8:00 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The artist's last stop in Milwaukee was in 1997 as part of the New Rock Fest at the Marcus Amphitheater, according to a Pabst Theater Group spokesperson. That was shortly after he broke out in 1996 with the album "Odelay."

"Beck's singular career has been one that's seen him utilize all manners and eras of music, blurring boundaries and blazing a path into the future while simultaneously foraging through the past," a news release says.

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. You can get more information on the Riverside Theater's website.
