A Silver Alert has been canceled for a missing River Falls man.
River Falls police say John Hyland, 79, was last seen on July 5 just before 1 p.m. near 302 S. Main Street.
Police said announced that Hyland was found dead early Tuesday morning. There's no word on the cause of death.
The River Falls Police Department said in a Facebook post Tuesday:
"We are saddened to report that John Hyland was found deceased this morning. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Mr. Hyland as they mourn his loss. We want to thank the many community members and public safety agencies and partners who spent time searching for Mr. Hyland yesterday and throughout the night."
