An 84-year-old Marathon County man last seen in October has been found dead according to police.
A Silver Alert was issued for Richard Czarnecki in early October. It is believed the man had dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Czarnecki was last seen in his vehicle in the City of Wausau on Oct. 6. At that time he stated that he wanted to go to Crivitz, Wis., but asked for directions to Rothschild, Wis. instead.
He was reportedly sighted driving north on State Highway 45 later that day in Birnamwood, Wis. His cell phone pinged off a tower in Crandon, Wis. on Oct. 7. </p>
Police did not include the man's cause of death.
