OAK CREEK — A Sikh priest who was left partially paralyzed for more than seven years after the 2012 Sikh Temple shooting in Oak Creek has died. His cause of death was listed as a homicide.

Officials with the Sikh Coalition say Baba Punjab Singh died on Monday. Singh was shot in the head during the shooting on Aug. 5, 2012.

Wade Michael Page opened fire at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin. He killed six people before he turned the gun on himself.

"[Singh's] outlook on life will always serve as a reminder that love is stronger than hate, and that we are strongest when we come together," the Sikh Coalition writes in an online post.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner said that Singh died as a result from complications from the 2012 shooting.
