KENOSHA — Shots were fired, officers were threatened and a teenager was trampled at a bar that hasn't even opened its doors.

According to Kenosha Police, a party in the basement of the old Finney's Sports Bar on 60th Street caused the noise complaint.

When officers arrived at the bar, they were met by a panicked crowd that tried to escape the basement. Officers were forced to break up fights but were then attacked with pepper spray.

An officer began to throw up, while other officers had to hide in the bathroom after being hit with the spray.

Upstairs, no one wanted to leave after hearing gunshots. More officers from Racine, Pleasant Prairie and the State Patrol arrived to assist the police department.

Of the crowd estimated to be about 300 people, a 20-year-old was arrested for disorderly conduct, a 17-year-old had collapsed after trying to break up a fight and three others were ticketed for failing to have a public entertainment license.

The bar is under renovation to become White Horse Saloon.
