The Shorewood Police Department is reminding residents to remember to lock their car doors.
The department said they received numerous calls this past weekend alone regarding break-ins. In every case, the doors were left unlocked.
In one report, a purse was stolen which contained multiple credit cards. Every card was used fraudulently.
Police say to keep doors locked, especially overnight. If you decide to leave them unlocked, you are encouraged to remove all valuable items, including garage door openers and spare keys.
