SHOREWOOD POLICE ARE ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC’S HELP TO TRACK DOWN A MAN THEY SAY IS GOING DOOR TO DOOR SCAMMING PEOPLE FOR MONEY HE SAYS IF FOR A CHURCH. — Shorewood Police are asking for the public’s help to track down a man they say is going door to door scamming people for money he says if for a church.
Police said the man, who calls himself “Detrell” asks residents for donations for “Victory Church.”
Police say the money he’s collected is not going to any church fund or organization.
They say he has also been invited into people’s homes, where he reportedly stole credit cards. Sometimes a small child is with him.
Multiple agencies are looking for this man, and he’s a suspect in an armed robbery as well.
If you see him, do not allow him into your home or give him money and call police immediately.
