A social media threat that put Shorewood High School on alert Thursday has been traced to Springfield, Ohio.

Police say a juvenile girl was taken into custody in that state under suspicion of posting the threat under the alias of Ray Andres against a school containing the initials "SHS."

A social media post threatened violence at “SHS” by an individual named Ray Andres.

Shorewood Police are investigating the threat, along with police agencies all over the country with schools containing the initials “SHS.”

Police believe there is no credible threat to Shorewood High School, but are taking the post seriously.
Authorities say to expect an increased police presence at the school on Friday but classes will resume as usual.
