Bullets flew on a busy highway in Milwaukee Sunday afternoon.
It happened around noon on Highway 145 in Milwaukee.
Sheriff's deputies have already cleared the scene, but there are still plenty of questions left unanswered.
Fire officials said the shooting sent one person to the hospital. But who was inside these two cars? And what led up to this alleged shooting?
Kenny Thomas lives nearby.
"A bullet don't have a name on it. It could've came this way for all I know," he said. "That's why I say you've got to be more careful. You could just be an innocent bystander. Bullets don't have a name."
What's left behind is a broken road sign, pieces of plastic and rubber from the car and marks in the snow from where the car ended up.
Deputies scoured the highway for evidence, but haven't shared what they've learned so far.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said they're working to get more information on what happened.
As for the person who was taken to the hospital, their condition is unknown.
