A small aircraft crashed in Kenosha County near the Wisconsin-Illinois border, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff.
The sheriff said an Ultralight plane went down in Camp Lake Monday night around 7 p.m. Camp Lake is located in Southwest Kenosha County.
The pilot reportedly climbed out of the plane and swam to shore after crashing it in a lake.
The man is from Antioch, Illinois, and got a ride home after swimming ashore.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating the crash and may pull the plane out of the water on Tuesday.
