A Racine County woman has been keeping a close eye on an Elmo doll ever since she spotted it lying in the street near a state park.
Fran DeRosier posted on Facebook on Friday that she first noticed Elmo on the south side of Highway 142, just east of Richard Bong State Recreation Area in Kenosha County.
She's been holding onto the doll ever since, and has been driving Elmo around so the doll is not alone.

DeRosier's original post has been shared more than 3,000 times. She's hoping to use social media to reunite Elmo with his owners.
