KENOSHA, Wis — The investigation into the death of an infant continues as Kenosha police said that 2-month-old Jalisa Adams-Frison was left in a field near 50th and 52nd Street.

Dozens of Kenosha police and sheriff's deputies started searching the field around 3:30 a.m. Thursday. As of the time of this article, it's still unclear if police have found the body or know what happened to the baby.

"As a grandmother it really is heart breaking to hear that kind of news. Especially wen they are practically your neighbors. IT definitley makes me want to keep a better eye out," a neighbor who lives a few blocks away said.

Kenosha police said that her parents are in custody and criminal charges will be referred to the Kenosha County District Attorney's office.
