TOWN OF NEWTON -- A school bus driver was seriously injured in a collision with a dump truck in east-central Wisconsin.
Manitowoc County sheriff's authorities say the crash happened just before 8 a.m. Monday at an intersection in the Town of Newton.
The bus driver was taken to a hospital with what the sheriff's officials call "incapacitating" injuries. Six children were on the bus and were released to their families. WLUK-TV reports some of the children had minor injuries.
The crash knocked over a utility pole, causing some downed wires and a power outage in the Newton area.
