The Santa Fe High School website indicates one of the teachers on the staff grew up in Wisconsin.

A family member said she was safe following Friday's deadly shooting at the school.

The high school's website lists Amy Hoff as a member of the English Department.

Clicking on Hoff's name leads you to this website which contains a short bio for Hoff that reads, "I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I have lived in Texas for eight years.  I am an avid fan of both the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.  This is my eighth year at Santa Fe High School.  Go Indians!"

Following the shooting, a woman who identified herself as Hoff's mother-in-law told TODAY'S TMJ4 by phone that the teacher was safe.

According to some of her former neighbors, Hoff grew up in Franklin.

Those neighbors called Hoff a great student and hard worker. One Franklin woman added Hoff and her father were nice neighbors.

Her LinkedIn page indicates Hoff spent a year teaching in the Muskego-Norway School District.

A district official confirmed Hoff worked there as a guest teacher for one school year.
