MILWAUKEE -- A popular Milwaukee restaurant and bar will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on Wednesday, October 19.

The spy-themed SafeHouse has been a downtown landmark and tourist attraction since 1966, and they're celebrating in style with a party from for V.I.S. (very important spies) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome starting at 8:00 p.m.

According to a news release, Mayor Tom Barrett will be in attendance, and an installation honoring founder David Baldwin created by True Skool's James Tomasello will be unveiled.

"Spies, agents and double agents alike should come prepared for a buffet of throwback menu items, crafty cocktails and drink specials, a shagadelic dance party, and special 50th anniversary missions," a news release reads.

There's no cover for the celebration, but spies wanting to gain entry should note the SafeHouse will be using a special one-day only secret password. Want a hint? Make sure to wish them a happy birthday.
