MADISON -- A retired De Soto man, who just had a craving for pizza, had his life changed forever when he stopped at a Festival Foods in La Crosse to fulfill his craving.
Steven Allen's pizza craving led him to winning the $350,000 SuperCash! Jackpot from the Wisconsin Lottery.
“I had a craving for Rocky Rococo’s pizza and decided to head there,” Allen told lottery officials when he claimed his prize Friday.
“On the way, I stopped at Festival Foods. I didn’t do any shopping and instead went to the [Lottery] machine to purchase Scratch and lotto tickets.”
The $350,000 prize marks the highest jackpot to be both drawn and claimed in 2019.
“The money is a big relief to my family,” he said. “I won’t have to lean on them as much as I had," Allen added.
