Dwyane Wade has reportedly told the Chicago Bulls he plans to sign with the team, reports NBC Chicago.
Wade has previously engaged in talks with the Milwaukee Bucks, and had considered other cities including Denver and Miami, prior to Wednesday's announcement.
The signing won't happen until the Chicago Bulls clear salary cap space, according to multiple reports.
Before the NBA, Wade played for Marquette University from 2001-2003.
Several published reports say the Heat offered Wade a two-year $40 million deal.
Wade, 34, is coming off a bounce-back season, averaging 19 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 74 games.
