MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm fire on the city’s west side.
The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. Monday near the intersection of 33rd and State.
The Red Cross was also on scene assisting more than 20 people who lived at the building.
Right now, there is no word on what started the fire or the amount of damage to the building. Firefighters say smoke detectors were working in the building.
