SAUK COUNTY -- One person is dead and another still missing after a semi-truck slid off the road of I-90 eastbound and into Mirror Lake Sunday morning.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, authorities found a damaged guard rail at about 7:30 a.m. just north of the Mirror Lake I-90/94 interstate bridge at the 91 Milemarker. Based on wheel tracks, the semi truck apparently went off the road into the lake, falling about 107 feet.
The semi unit has been recovered.
Due to visibility and weather issues, occupant recovery operations have ceased at this time and will resume Monday morning.
