MADISON - Protesters were asked to leave Festival Foods after supposedly advocating for cows in front of the meat and dairy section over the weekend.
According to our Madison sister station, WISC-TV, the Madison Police Department asked the protestors to leave the store on Saturday.
Officials reported that the group of people was yelling "cow's lives matter" and "murder" inside Festival Foods.
The protestors were interfering with customer's purchases in that department, and the store manager told them she was calling the police. The protestors then left.
When police arrived, the protestors were across the street. They were warned that they could be cited for trespassing if they protest in Festival Foods again.
It appears it wasn't the first time these animal advocates demonstrated a protest in Festival Foods.
Some of the same protesters were allegedly in the grocery store during Thanksgiving chanting, "turkey lives matter."
