WATERTOWN -- There was a bank robbery at the State Bank of Reeseville, 1312 W. Main St., in Watertown Monday afternoon.
The suspect approached a teller at approximately 3 p.m., took out a large frame black semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. The suspect also left a camouflage backpack on the floor and said there was a bomb inside.
He was given an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller and took off in a vehicle.
The suspect was described as a white man between 25 and 35, 6' tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing white long sleeve shirt, brown straw fedora type sun hat with a band. He also had tattoos on the left side of neck, covered with a large Band-Aid, and a pink hand towel around his neck.
After careful examination, officials determined that there were no explosives in the backpack.
