MILWAUKEE -- An unknown man sexually assaulted two women on Milwaukee's south side within the last several weeks, Milwaukee police said Tuesday.

The first incident happened near 15th Street and National Avenue and the second incident happened near 15th Street and Greenfield Avenue.

The assaults took place about a month apart. The most recent incident was Thursday, April 21.

"In both of these cases the victims were by themselves out in the middle of the night when they had interactions with the suspect," said Milwaukee Police Captain Aimee Obregon.

One of the victims is in her 20's and the other is in her 40's. Police said the victims had consensual interactions with the victims before the assaults.

"It's scary. It's scary to think about it," said Tania Nunez.

People who live and work on this side of town are shocked since this is a busy neighborhood.

"That's crazy stuff," explained Antionio Nunez.

On Tuesday, officials released a sketch of the suspect, who has been described as a Hispanic male between 25 to 35 years old with short black hair and brown eyes.

Police said the suspect was driving a red two-door vehicle with a black interior during both of the assaults.

Police are asking residents to be on the lookout and to be aware of their surroundings.

"Make sure when you're walking your face isn't buried into your phone and that you're always paying attention to where you're going and who's around you," Obregon said.
