MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Police took one suspect into custody after they fled a traffic stop and crashed on I-43 near W. Keefe Ave.
On Saturday, officers observed a vehicle involved in what looked like a drug transaction. That same vehicle was later seen traveling westbound on W. Galena St.
According to a press release, police attempted a traffic stop for drug dealing and illegal tint on the vehicle, however, the suspect fled the scene and led officers on a vehicle pursuit.
The suspect ran several red lights and weaved in and out of traffic, endangering the lives of other drivers. After a few miles, the suspect was involved in a single-vehicle accident and taken into custody.
Police recovered drugs after the arrest.
