MILWAUKEE -- Police are asking for the public's help to find a man accused of stealing 'several items' from the Basilica of St. Josaphat on Milwaukee's south side.
According to police, the man broke a stained glass window to get into the basilica just after 1:00 a.m. last Thursday. He stole 'several items,' and took off southbound on 7th St. from Lincoln.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, standing 5'8" and weighing 165 pounds. Images capture on surveillance cameras show him wearing a dark coat, jeans, with a light-colored sweatshirt under his coat, and red Nike Air Jordan shoes.
"If anyone has any information, they are asked to call Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360 or Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS," police said in a news release.
