Milwaukee Police are investigating a double shooting late Saturday night that left one woman dead and another injured.
Police say around 11:30 p.m. officers responded to shots fired in the 3900 block of N. 16th Street where they found a woman aged somewhere between 20-30 years old who died on the scene.
Fifteen minutes later, police were directed to the 1200 block of W. National Avenue where they located a 30-year-old woman that had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Authorities determined the two incidents were related. The 30-year-old woman was transported to a local hospital and later arrested.
The circumstances of the shootings remain under investigation.
