Police have identified the man who died after he was pulled from the Fond du Lac River Wednesday as James C. Pugh.
According to a news release from police, the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner said Pugh, 57, died from hypothermia, and a toxicology report is pending.
Fond du Lac police said they got a call early Wednesday morning about an intoxicated man in the river.
Police found Pugh’s head above the water and officers and rescue crews pulled him out and took him to St. Agnes Hospital. Pugh was pronounced dead at the hospital.
