Police: Child abandoned at Mississippi Goodwill with note, change of clothes

(WTXL) — A police department in Mississippi is asking for help after a toddler was abandoned with a bag of clothes and a note Monday morning.

Southaven Police report Monday, around 9:40 a.m., a child was abandoned at the Goodwill drop off location at 57 Stateline Road East in Southaven.

Nearby surveillance video captured images of both a male and female and the vehicle they were driving when the child was abandoned. By the time officers arrived, the car was gone.

Police said the child, a 2-year-old boy, is unable to give his name or the names of his parents or relatives. The child was left with nothing but a plastic bag containing a change of clothes and a note.

Authorities have not revealed what was written inside the note.
