RACINE -- A suspect wanted in a recent armed robbery-homicide in Milwaukee is still on the run after leading police on a high-speed chase Sunday night.

According to Milwaukee police, the chase started around 7:45 pm after officers spotted a car near 11th and Wright.

The driver of the vehicle is wanted in an armed robbery-homicide.

“I was just looking like, what is going on," Rondell Brumby said.

Rondell Brumby said he heard the sirens and saw the police lights from inside his home in Racine —but that’s only after the driver took off and officers pursued the vehicle. The chase went through multiple districts, jurisdictions, and into Racine County. The chase ended in the city of Racine near Washington and Taylor, but the suspect ran from police. Multiple law enforcement agencies searched for the suspect near Park High School and the local community center where Brumby works.

“They [were] all over here," Brumby observed. "They had it all hemmed up over here, back there through the woods and Horlick Drive over there… I just hope they catch him."

Brumby said knowing the suspect is still on the run is a little unsettling for him and others who live in the area —and he hopes at the very least, police will give people living in his neighborhood a description of what the suspect looks like.

“I just want to see a picture of who he is because you know it’s a lot of people in the community who want to know who this guy is," Brumby said. "He might be in your backyard or hiding somewhere."

Police are still searching for the suspect and their investigation is ongoing.
