MILWAUKEE -- Police have arrested the suspect driver in a weekend hit-and-run crash that killed a 5-year-old girl.
Police say they arrested a 30-year-old man around 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
The crash happened around 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the 6400 block of West Leon Terrace in Milwaukee.
A family member tells TODAY'S TMJ4 that 5-year-old Rickyia Langham was crossing the street to head back home so she could get dressed to go to church. The girl was holding her older sister's hand but suddenly let go and ran in the middle of the street.
She was then struck by a driver, who did not stop and continued driving.
Police arrested someone else involved in the crash and found the striking vehicle Tuesday
