Nobody was hurt after a small experimental plane was forced to make an emergency landing on a Washington County highway Tuesday.
It happened shortly after 10 a.m. on CTH H, near Kewaskum.
The pilot, a 77-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida, was able to touch down on the road and position the plane off the roadway onto a farm access drive. He was uninjured in the crash.
The pilot told authorities he had purchased the plane from a person in Door County and was enroute to Joliet, Ill.
He said the plane experienced mechanical issues that resulted in a loss in power.
