The Wisconsin State Patrol arrested a 37-year-old Pewaukee man for "Operating While Intoxicated - Fifth Offense" on Thanksgiving morning.
It happened around 1:21 a.m. near the intersection of Golf Road and Elmhurst Road in Pewaukee.
Officials say a Wisconsin State Trooper was traveling on I-94 and observed a vehicle traveling in excess of 100 miles-per-hour on a frontage road. The vehicle then lost control, crashed and almost hit a nearby house. State troopers observed the man covered in blood walking closely to the crash vehicle.
The man was taken to Waukesha Memorial hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Once medically cleared, the man will be held the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.
A blood draw was obtained, charges will be referred to the Waukesha County District Attorneys Office.
