PEWAUKEE-- A Pewaukee High School student has been charged with second-degree sexual assault after another high school student came forward alleging that she had been raped, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint states that on November 30th Anthony J. Hale, 18, was watching a movie with the victim in her bedroom when he started touching her inappropriately and without consent. The victim was uncomfortable enough to call a friend over. Hale later drove the friend home and returned to the victim's house.
According to the complaint, Hale started touching her again before he placed himself on top of her and raped her, covering her mouth with one hand and wrapping his other hand around her throat. This lasted until the victim's father entered her room, and told the defendant to treat his daughter "with respect" and then escorted Hale out of the house.
A few days later, the victim told a friend what had happened, and stated that she bit Hale in order to make him stop.
When the Village of Pewaukee Police Department spoke with Hale, he acknowledged to having sex with the victim but denied the rape allegations. Hale also said that the victim bit him on his shoulder and on his index finger, but claimed that this was from a different incident.
Hale is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on January 25th, 2018.
