Pedestrian on tracks struck, killed by train in Waukesha

WAUKESHA — A pedestrian on the tracks at South East Avenue and Carroll Street reportedly was struck and killed by a train about 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Waukesha Police Department.

The Waukesha Dispatch Center received a call from the Canadian National Dispatch Center about the incident.

Police found a 47-year-old deceased male near the intersection.

The Waukesha Fire Department responded, but the person was beyond help, it said.

The death is being investigated by the Waukesha Police Department, the Waukesha Medical Examiner's Office and the Canadian National Railroad.
