MILWAUKEE -- A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Milwaukee Friday morning.
The crash happened at 7:25 a.m. near 27th Street and St. Paul Avenue.
Milwaukee police said a 60-year-old woman was walking across the street, in the crosswalk, when she was struck by a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old woman from Milwaukee.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and later died.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene. Police said she is cooperating with the investigation.
