A high impact paving project will close portions of Wisconsin Ave. Monday and Tuesday mornings.
On Monday, W. Wisconsin Ave. will be closed at N. Water St. starting at 6 a.m. Contractors will close one to two blocks at a time heading west all the way to N. 5th St. Once pavement marking are done those portions of the roadway will re-open.
Construction starts Tuesday at 6 a.m. at W. Wisconsin Ave. and N. 6th St. The project will continue closing roadways up to N. 10th St.
The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works anticipates the projects will be completed each day before the afternoon commute.
All north-southbound traffic will be maintained throughout the project.
