The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Sunday night traffic accident involving a tractor and SUV.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. on State Highway 57, just north Hickory Grove Road in the Town of Fredonia. The accident caused highway to be closed in both directions for roughly two hours.
The Sheriff’s Office says a tractor driven by a 60-year-old Fredonia man was traveling southbound in the right lane and was struck from behind by a SUV, driven by a 29-year-old Port Washington man. His wife and three children were also inside the vehicle.
The tractor driver was taken to Froedert Hospital by Flight for Life for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The SUV driver and his family were taken to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton for medical assessment.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office says they are still investigating the crash.
