FOND DU LAC — The Fond du Lac Fire Rescue (FDLFR) was dispatched to a house fire on the 100 block of W. Arndt St. Thursday, Nov. 19, around 1:32 a.m.
A MABAS Box Alarm was called due to heavy fire conditions, bringing multiple fire departments to assist off duty FDLFR units.
One victim was rescued by the first arriving crews. They were treated and transported to a local hospital.
The second victim exited on their own and was also transported to a hospital.
“We are grateful that both occupants were able to get out of without serious injuries,” said Fire Chief Peter O’Leary.
According to fire crews, the fire caused extensive damage and left the home uninhabitable.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated by FDLFR and Fond du Lac police.
