OAK CREEK -- A federal workplace safety agency has cited an industrial laundry in Oak Creek in a worker's death last summer.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration said Wednesday it is proposing $41,200 in fines against Crothall Laundry Services.
OSHA says the 34-year-old man was servicing equipment at Crothall on Aug. 13 when a conveyor system propelled him into a dryer and he became trapped. The agency says the man died of his injuries two weeks later.
The Journal Sentinel reports OSHA says the conveyor should have been inoperable during the servicing.
A Crothall representative did not immediately return a phone call for comment Wednesday.
