A travel agency has announced its commitment to planting 100,000 trees in Wisconsin by the end of 2019.
Orbridge, a group educational travel provider, has partnered with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in order to plant the trees and continue to build up the state's forests.
In a news release, Orbridge's founder and president Jim Staples said the company fully understands the importance of sustaining the environment its customers are interested in visiting.
"We take seriously and are committed to our global responsibility to help minimize our footprint. This reforestation program is our biggest undertaking to date towards accomplishing this goal," Staples said.
This is part of Orbridge's plan to help reforestation across the U.S. It plans to do the same in other states in the future.
