MENOMONEE FALLS — One woman has died after the Menomonee Falls Police Department responded to a domestic violence incident on Tuesday.
Police say they responded to the 15500 block of Menomonee Ave. around 11:46 p.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived, they discovered a woman had been stabbed.
Officers, with assistance from the Menomonee Falls Fire Department, attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to the police department, a man at the scene who knew the victim was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing. However, there is no threat to the community at this time.
Police did not release the ages of the man or the woman involved.
