One person was transported to a medical facility after an apartment building started on fire in the Village of Rochester Saturday morning.
The Racine County Sheriff's Office reported seeing heavy smoke at the 29-unit apartment building located at N. Rochester and Spring St.
Deputies assisted citizens out of the building and transported one 58-year-old male to a medical facility as a precautionary measure.
The Racine County Fire Task Force and Racine County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Bureau are still investigating the cause of the fire.
