MANITOWOC — One person was killed and two others injured in a motorcycle crash in Manitowoc County on Sunday.
A 58-year-old male on his motorcycle was struck by a second motorcycle carrying a 67-year-old man with a 48-year-old passenger, according to a news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol.
This caused both drivers to lose control of their motorcycles, and all three motorcyclists were ejected onto the roadway. The 48-year-old woman passenger was killed.
No passengers were wearing helmets, police said.
The crash occurred on Highway R at Old Y Road near Maribel.
Heavy rain and alcohol are possible contributing factors to the crash, police said.
