MILWAUKEE -- One person was killed in an overnight shooting on Milwaukee's north side, police say.
It happened just before 12:15 a.m. early Monday morning in the 8300 block of W. Courtland Ave. Police say officers were responding to a report of shots fired when they found an unresponsive 24-year-old man in the front yard "of an unrelated residence."
Despite efforts to save his life, the man died at the scene.
Police say the shooting remains under investigation. There's no word yet on any potential suspects.
