MILWAUKEE -- More details about the fire that caused more than $1 million in damage on UW-Milwaukee’s campus have been released, and officials believe it started in the basement of Peck School of the Arts scene shop.

The Milwaukee Fire Department does not believe the fire was intentional. However, 180 classrooms were displaced and the set for the play “Arcadia” was destroyed.

The set is being rebuilt at Shorewood High School and the students are looking forward to performing at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater.

"The costumes will engage with the professional costume shop and our students will be in their dressing rooms," said Michelle Lopez-Rios, associate professor of voice and speech.

Students have been back inside the music building, while the goal is to get art and design students back inside on Wednesday.

The play “Arcadia” will go on as originally scheduled May 3.
